After graduating from Algonquin College with a TV Broadcasting diploma he directed a string of successful short films starting with the action comedy "PIE: A Pumpkin Story". This hilarious short film won the Spirit of the Festival Award at the 2010 DIGI60 film festival, screened at the 2011 Ottawa International Film Festival and had its broadcast debut on CBC in August 2011. His short dramatic film, "Mary Mae" has screened at film festivals all over the world (including New York, Seattle, Melbourne, Amsterdam and Dublin) and is now available on IndieFlix. As 2013 was winding down, Kristian returned to his horror roots and directed "Puritans". This exciting and socially relevant short debuted at the 2013 Digi60 Festival winning the Best Director and Best Picture awards. Since then Kristian has contributed memorable segments to the 2016 and 2017 editions of "The Monster Pool: Horror Anthology".
Having learned as much as he could making short films, Kristian launched into his first feature film, "Hens Night". This female centric horror comedy, written by Jennifer Allanson, centers around a bachelorette party gone horribly wrong. The film is expected to be released in 2018. While finishing up work on "Hens Night" Kristian, along with collaborators Randy Smith, Chris Chitaroni & Jennifer Allanson put together a Christmas themed horror film titled "Unholy Night". The ambitious project has a planned 2018 release.
